Hi everyone, I have been trying to find new manifold studs for my Escort and having no luck.

Due to them being 5/16th UNC one end and 5/15th UNF on the other end they are proving near impossible to find.

These are the places I have tried so far.
- Sprints
- Auto Pro
- Adelaide Cylinder Head Specialists
- Universal Fasteners
- Burson Auto Parts
- McLaren Motor Engineering
- Holden Parts Dealership
- Ford Parts Dealership

Can anyone help with advise where to look else where in Adelaide, I don't know where else I can try. Thanks

Why do they have to have different end threads?
If both ends are dia. 5/16", why not get both ends the same as head thread & buy nuts to suit, or am I missing something?
Cheers

I'll have a look on UK Ebay and also consider having the same thread on each end. I just thought maybe there was a specific reason it was originally different sided thread but if it doesn't matter it will make things a whole heap easier.

Thanks heaps for the advise

I reckon you are making this more complicated than you need to.  The thread in the head is in no way unusual, and as long as you change all of the studs the thread at the nut end is irrelevant.

On my twin carb manifold i just use bolts rather than studs.

I was recommended to try using bolts but I wasn't sure on that idea either. I ended up buying a full set of studs off UK Ebay but yeah now I can see I was making it a lot more complicated then it was needed. Cheers everyone for your help and input.
