Hey Guys,
 
So, again my preparation has let me down!. In putting the engine bay back together, im up to the point where ive bolted the thick earth lead to the passenger side of the block (where it came from), and the thick positive lead to the starter motor. However I cant seem to get the battery sitting properly either way!.
 
If I sit the battery so the positive terminal is closest to the firewall, the earth lead is too short, however if I sit it so the negative is closest to the firewall, the additional thinner wires that need to also bolt onto the positive terminal don't reach!.
 
So, could I put a request in for anyone (the more the merrier!) to post up a photo of their engine bay so I can see how it should be sitting please? Ive done a google search, but wasn't too successful in finding a lot of engine bay photos.
 
Would really appreciate any help anyone can provide.

Put my battery in the boot, earth lead to body, then run + lead through sill, up behind dash to a kill switch then through firewall to unit on inner wing (cant remember the name too many bourbons last night).
So not to suffer earth problems I ran a earth from the block to the slot in the crossmember where the engine mount lives.
If you have the correct battery (ie terminals right way round and you used that battery before u stripped it) maybe your positive should be running to the unit on the inner wing then to the starter. Id check your manual

Just reading your post. If you have a kill switch in the main positive cable to the battery with a kill switch in it, would that have to handle quite a bit of current?
