Just to clear this one up (for myself

)... Throttle bodies are different to bike carbs - Bike carbs use jetting and a choke just like a carb would, whereas TBs feature injectors and are controlled by an ECU.
I read somewhere that you can effectively scrap bike carbs and make TBs out of them. Is this the usual way of going about things? Or is it better to look for a true TB (from newer bikes maybe?)
Do T/Bs have any drawbacks compared to a 'standard' type EFI system with an intake manifold?
