does anyone know how to take out a clock from a escort console? as im putting in a new console into my mk2 van but i have to first line up the floor mountings as the old console didnt have any(old one use to slide side too side when cornering), so i thought to take the clock out to have easier access to mark the holes in the floor to pot rivet the mount in the correct spot

griezy, cut 2 pieces of 0.040" steel from a scrap of body panel, to 100mm X 10mm, bend 1 end, 4mm to 90 degrees,
other end, approx, 12mm to 90 degrees … you now have 2 clock pullers.  ( 4mm is important top to bottom )
place the 4mm ends starting at the top of the clock, behind the bezel, on the short side of the clock, wriggle down to the centre of the clock side, pull gently, remove wiring from clock, job done.
