Steviestar, Do you want to sell it? I have a pair of Dellorto DHLA 40 that I was thinking of fitting. I thought they would marry up to the Mikuni/Solex manifold that is on the engine. I have heard that the Mikuni/Solex carbs on the 18R GU were not serviceable so I was planning on ditching them. The purpose of my post was to see if anyone had done it before, and maybe pick their brains on problems that I might encounter. I pick up the motor on Sunday, and I have a spare Mark 1 crossmember at home, so I can set it up to see whether it fits and what mods might be required. I see that I have bruised some sensibilities in suggesting a graft of a Jap engine into a classic Ford, but there is plenty of posts on SR20 and Volvo grafts, so it will not be the first time it has been done. I am still undecided on the way I will go, but even if I stick to the crossflow, the Celica gearbox will be handy in the Escy.
