OK, I know it's early, but hey, there may be some out there who need 4 years notice, especially if you have an unfinished project that could make it in time!

Seriously though, can everyone please start thinking about the upcoming 50th Anniversary of the Capri's release here in Australia on 3rd May, 2019. I'm guessing that we'll do something along the lines of our 40th anniversary, held in Wagga Wagga at Easter in 2009.
I figure that the Easter weekend, 19-22 April, 2019, would be best, as ANZAC Day is just a few days after Easter as well, it could be a long celebration. Please give some thought to a convenient location for all-comers (QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS and SA and maybe even WA), say in Wagga Wagga again, or maybe Parkes, or maybe Echuca, or maybe Albury, or maube somewhere else that you may prefer, that's convenient to us southerners, far southerners and croweaters, as well as the maroons, blues and Canberrians, is that how you spell it?

Anyway, I'd be very interested to hear from anyone and everyone!
Cheers Terry (organiser of the 40th, in Wagga Wagga, 2009)

Thanks Kerry.
The drums are starting to rumble down south and so I thought I'd get it on the agenda, even though we are 4+ years away. It will happen, with everyone's help once again, and I have to agree that Wagga Wagga seems to be the most central place for everyone. And, it's got many, many optional cruises around town and into the near reaches as well.
Please start the drums going up north and we'll get back to it soon. This year we want 100-150 cars though and Fletch??
Cheers, Terry

Yes it would, but not really a practical one for all-comers from the south and deep south. Numbers of attendees from the various States in 2009 indicate that a central location between Sydney and Melbourne would be the best location once again, unless of course you can convince around 30+ Queenslanders to attend, to match the numbers from NSW & VIC. If you can do that then maybe Parkes or Dubbo could be a contender. Another suggestion is Bathurst, but with the annual 12 hour race there also on the same weekend, ie. Easter, it might get too crowded! The only other appropriate weekend would be the Queens Birthday in June, but the weather may have gone bad by then. Keep thinking about and spreading the word.

Ok, time to bump this up a notch.
It's only 3 years away and it's time to get serious about this event. It will be held on the Easter long weekend, 19-22 April, 2019 and bear in mind that Anzac day falls on the Thursday after Easter, that year.
Suggestions have been made that we once again hold this event in Wagga Wagga, as the most central location to most Capri travellers. Bathurst has been mentioned however, as the 6-hour Motor Festival is usually held on the Easter weekend, that's not an ideal location.
Put on your thinking caps and let's get some suggestions on the table to start the ball rolling! Over to you.

I think Wagga Wagga would be best solution, as its a fairly large country town it has far more facilities at our disposal than other regional centres and can cater to large numbers without problems...
We have looked at other area's including Albury and Eden in the past but Wagga Wagga is fairly central to most who will be travelling.
If enough northerners decide to join in we might be able to look at NSW Central Coast or Hunter Valley???
Just my opinion...
