G'day guys looking for some 2.0L escort struts. I'm in the Newcastle area but will travel or am willing to pay postage. I've done a 2.0L conversion in my 1600 van and want to do adjustable coilover kit to the front, figure it'd be easier if I had the 2.0L struts as there are plenty of kits for these.

Let me know if you've got something.

Cheers,

Tim

Mate, i just had to get new inserts for my 2l struts which were already coilover'd and found they are fairly pricy. Locally in newy inserts started at 400 for monroes. It might pay to price new struts with coilover packages before you source old struts, replacement inserts & coilover kits. Try steve from smcka in our sponsor links, he's down in castle hill and is a good source.

400 per insert? thats fairly dear.. This is starting to look like more of an expensive endeavor than expected... wait... how have I not learnt that yet? Every escort endeavor ends up being bloody expensive!

thought the same (correction $400 for the pair of monroes). you can get gaz adjustables& koni reds with change from $500 and billly inserts a bit over $600. Note there are bilstien inserts to go into a factory tubes and bilstien inserts to go in a bilstein struts, 2 totally different inserts and not interchangeable. check out what smcka & classicford.com.au advertise.
