I have just put a Mk2 Escort 2lt & manual box into a Mk1 Escort with an Auto Tunnel,
I have grab a Mk2 1975 1.3 auto cross member to bolt up, it fits the floor pan, however,
it will not line up with the manual box mounting point,
do I grab a later 2lt auto box cross member to fit both body and the manual gearbox ?
or is this where modifying comes into play ?
the 2lt engine & box are from a 1980 mk2
the Mk1 is the last of the 1975
the Mk2 auto cross member is from the first Mk2 1975
the difference I see is the mk1 floor pan has one thread stud and one bolt
where as
the Mk2 floor pan has four bolt holes and no threaded studs for nuts

I made this mount up from 2 Cortina g/box mounts welded together, to run rocket box on xflow. Saved shifting the mount holes on tunnel.

I took some basic measurements and had a plate steel xmember made up. Then used the auto xmember as a template to drill the holes. You will need to use the auto gearbox rubber mount, not the manual.
