Agree those axles are ready for the bin. I pull the axles in my khanacross car about twice a year and replace them if they show more than minor twisting, cheap insurance.
Don't be tempted to refit them with the twist reversed (ie swap sides) as that will only serve to put even more stress through the weakened ends.
The ones to fit are the early Mk1 axles without the big hub centre. They are noticeably thicker in cross section than the later Mk2 style.
PS: Those axles in the pics do not look like they have been shot peened, I am not sure why anyone would bother with peening a set of axles as that would only surface harden something that really does need some flex in it........
