Could anyone please tell me a tried and tested method for removing door pins on a MK2 escort, 2 door but sure that makes no difference.

To say that I have lost a fair bit of skin from the knuckles dented my pride and feel completely emasculated is an understatement. I thought it would be simple, then again thought that about marriage but these buggers just won’t shift an inch.

I don’t have access to oxy etc but if there is a tool or a simple fix then please advise cos my rage is blowing gauges.

I have done the pins on mine, was much easier to take the door+hinges off and work on it in the open. Then i eased them out with a hole punch and WD40.

There is a tool called a door pin remover that us panelbeaters use ,
there are also the occasions where others who try tend to make it harder to remove after they are butchered,
there is also a freeze shrinking spray available however I have not used it before,
I know the spray can be bought from wurth australia and the door pin remover from a automotive tool supply shop

Thanks guys, I'll try and find a door pin removal tool and give that a go first. Very surprised just how solid these things are, they just don't move!
