Glen, I think he was saying the front Valence/Apron is made of fibreglass..............not the Dellow B/housing ?
Could not imagine any bell hsg ever made out of F/glass for obvious reasons ?

when i seen all those reply's thought oh some have done it  but its about gearboxes bell housing in a fibre glass valance thread ...

no ive done it - all good - they fit well - just as I say - u have to sort out fitment of the grill and slam panel thingo

went out to small ford wrecker in minto to day collect the re chrome bars and picked me up a glass valance panel
 
made really good fits really well  ..bloke said i should chop my existing panel use the valance support beam with the grill mounting tabs weld that to body and radiator support then screw or bolt on glass valance to it ...  i think it should work well
 
other option is to try and repair all the previous hits and welded in sections  its had thru its 40 odd yrs and use ton of bog  ... but i think glass is better than using my one or trying to buy a seconhand one for over 500 as i have seen on ebay and still using heaps of bog on it ....
 
oh and the bars came out super  looks like new ..
