Yes you can see it's a sticker but you have to look hard to find it. Still much better than faded switches. Alternative is NOS switches which are quite rudely priced.

what about spraying a clearcoat over the top?

What a shame you cant get stickers for just the white decals then they could be stuck on and cleared over.

I can laser print white onto a clear transparency, but it might be too thick.
Something like clear drink bottle stock would be good.
Plus I'd need images of some description.

Hi guys,
Where can we buy stickers/decals for Capri GTV6, or is "the Polish Guy" the only source?
If so, does anyone know his address/contact details ?
Has anyone tried the Silver/Chrome Wrap as on ebay, or is too thick for Switch frames?
Is plastic black paint the best for re-furbish of rockers before decal fitment ?
cheers
Bernie

'The Polish guy' is the only person I have seen doing this (apart from JR or course).
His ad's for refurb units are normally all over ebay.
I thought you needed to be careful though as some of them are arse about/upside down on the rocker switch.

he gives you both lhd drive and aus rhd stickers

if you look real close stick ya face in them and know what to look for then yes you will tell they are stickers
but at a glance as mention and even on dash you would be struggling to tell they are stickers.
you would also have know about them  and be looking for the sticker to even notice it ...
im real happy with the way they turned out and will do me

sure there not perfect and not original but for the price of nos id rather use the stickers and save my cash for more better things to spend the cash on  saved me 1400 considering most nos switches are just under the 300 dollar mark which is a bloody rip off

be nice if they had the same sticker set to renew vents and dash facia with a would grain sticker as well

might even go take dash to local vynil printer and see if they can make a sticker machine cut to do dash facia

Personally I like JR approach of doing the Chrome correct with chrome. That's very original. Then sticker the switch which if time and heat bugger it you can just stick a new sticker on if required. I've looked at spray chroming as well but at $1500 for the setup is out of the question for the amount of chrome on the Capri, and I mean chroming process not just chrome in spray can.

I had a fascia done by the hydro dip method sadly I never expected it to work as well as it did so I didn't match the wood grain patten properly, but in the stick your head in the window test it looks streets better then the way it was. The drawback is you loose the texture of the dash as it is sealed like a paint job.
