Hi, new member but long time watcher.
 
Getting back into Escorts after a long absence and am loving it. So much so that by selling my fast road car I have a decent budget for a road going Escort.
 
Am previous owner of the German Mk2 RS2000 that appeared on the cover of Wheel in 1976. Bought it as a wreck from Bruce Hodgson after he rolled it on it's shakedown rally. I currently own a Mk1 rally car built by Ben Rainsford pictured below. 
 
I'm now looking an original RS 2 Door Escort Mk1 or Mk2, Mexico, RS1600, RS1800 or RS2000. Would prefer something restored but would consider a project if the car was really special. Will look interstate (bought the Mk1 in Adelaide).
 
Recently missed out on an unrestored RS1600 rally car minus engine and gearbox. My ideal would be another German Mk2 RS2000.

p.s. Car hopefully has an original exterior and interior but can be highly modified/updated mechanically. If re-engined it must be Ford only (Zetec, YB ect).

Not quite an Escort, but how about a  genuine Caterham BDR? 1700 cossie BDR, 5-speed sierra, independant sierra rear end & 4w disc brakes.  I know a guy wanting to sell, not advertised yet.  pm me if interested.
