Geoff Wade makes a good Fibreglass Parcel Shelf,
Will last forever, you could cover it with a leather look vinyl
wrap 25mm over the edge all round, stuck down with contact glue,
do the back  too. wipe a leather dressing over it, mmm smells fantastic.
He will mail it to you. … you can treat door panels the same, a great look.
