Then on the drive home from work, pouring rain, 1.st to second gear and a tiny bit of wheel spin resulted in me getting a $110 fine and 3 points. FML

Do they do contra deals? You make a statement and they forget about your fine? [:p] Wouldn't that be great. Everyone does contras at work? [B)]

Picked up my car from the mechanic late yesterday and the tally looks like this:-

* Alt belt as loose as anything (2 fingers under the pulley)
* Battery terminal not bolted on - just sitting there
* Headlights not working (turned out the fuse was out of the socket)
* they broke the lever for the bonnet cable (the one that sits below the dash). Not the cable, but the lever (then the cable broke too). I've got no idea what force they tried to hang off it

That's what happens when they let the apprentice lose on it or a couple of people work on it and everyone thought the 'other guy' attended to 'that'

Aside from that (probably not related to the mechanic) the starter motor died too.

Went to drive up one of my favorite roads today (dayborough to mt. mee) and its washed out in many places with road barriers everywhere. Cowboys still trying to drive and ride fast when the road is clearly not up to it at the moment.

My petrol gauge is playing up, which to me is the worst one to play up.

I didn't think the fuel guage worked in Escorts (it was a factory option). I drive by the trip meter. When it gets to 300km its time to fill up.

Mines always been pretty decent, think I fixed the problem though.

Having to explain to Acer's tech support what vertical means and how to spell 'Scooter'

I think my fuel gauge reads 1/4 less then what is in the tank.

I use the engine as the fuel guage, when it runs there's petrol in it, when it stops its empty [88][88][88][88][88]
