Hi Guys, Wondering if anyone has experience with Proflex suspension/shock absorbers?

No experience but they are quite high end product from the UK? might have a bit more luck with the pommy guys on the FB pages.

Have you spoke to MCA here in Aust? i know they will do escort stuff although they dont advertise it.

OR just tried and true bilsteins?

Its only because a front/rear set has come up and I'm weighing up options.

I have been offered a full new set that was for a now defunct build.
Believe all up new was around $13k. Still trying to get my head around that.
Hopefully servicing won't be for some time (if I go with them) but worth asking about.
A guy I know is one of MCA distributors so will investigate reds or gold series as a comparison.

I had Proflex on my rally car, (Charade GTti) they were great when running it at 100% but anything less and the ride was truly appalling. I sold the car, luckily, before it came time to rebuild them.
I've heard MCA are pretty good but can't personally vouch for that.
 
I'm happy with my Gaz gold on the Escort, its a road car and I've dropped the front spring rates a couple of times for comfort with no real sacrifice to performance. Mind you it only gets driven briskly on public roads nowadays.

The car (MKII Escort) is being built as a circuit/tarmac car. The units available to me are EVO2.
I will chat with MCA this coming week and weigh up options.
Keep you guys posted on progress.
 
Have the GAZ in the Capri (145lb front and reset rear springs) and had a couple of track days and steering is fairly neutral with maybe a slight hint of understeer.  Though I could handle some power assisted steering.
It handles beautifully on the road.
