Anything below 500 is a bagain, well done.
I was just in the right place and the right time and I have not seen another Mondeo at Pick a Part since.
Phil, you are right. and there are different torx bits, 5 point, 6 point etc. They change them so that the assembly guns engage faster on the production line, or so I have been told by the tool suppliers in the past.

I've looked at pics of your engine and not 100% on where you have placed the coil packs - below the inlet?

Do you use OEM leads also?

Awesome news... sounds very cheap! I wasn't sure if you actually got a whole engine at that price.

Good times.

Well I had a look today and none of my metric or imperial allen keys fit the Torx screws adequately to enable them to be removed. The last thing i need to do is mangle them completely.

So, there are 2 sizes - one which attaches the bracketry for the power steering and air conditioning and smaller size for the coil pack bracket etc.

Anyone know what size I need to get? Looking on the net has produced zippo!

Hi Paul
Yes the coil pack is under the inlet.
The leads I made myself using the original ends.

OK, I have made some progress with the rust repairs.

As I have a decent repair section I decided to start with the RHS upper rear quarter boot recess beneath the rear windscreen.

All marked up ready to begin cutting.

First section cut and checked for fitment

Final section cut and trial fitted.

Hopefully get around to welding it all in during the next week

Hi Lucas.

Removed from another car ages ago knowing this would have to be done some day. I have a repair section for the other side which will need a clean up and minor repair prior to installing. The other side is just as bad if not worse than the side I'm repairing now [V]

Hoping to get the majority of the rust work and the Zetec / Celica box dummied up so it can go to the panel shop ASAP.

If you can find decent sections then it's definately the easiest way especially if the areas are complex and not just a piece of flat sheet metal.

Sure there are those with the right gear to easily make whatever is required but you and I need to stick to the easier ways - unless you have no choice
