Nice thinking with this project. Great you are sharing the info.

Would like a Zetec Escy some day.

Yes, there's actually more than adequate clearance above the rocker cover to clear plugs and leads although it appears close. I may drop it down a little further yet but I just want to get it all in so I can position the airbox before painting. The way it is there is also ample clearance to the underside of the RS bonnet.

You're one patient dude. I'm getting impatient just watching...
nice mate, make sure you buff out that dirty six letter word on that airbox though.

Thanks for the comments guys

TEX, I'm not sure if it's patience or just plain lack of time in the garage but it's all falling into place slowly.

Ben, The strut brace will come with stage 2 as the plan is to not have any obstructions I'm happy to provide info regarding my progress to assist others where I can as I'm sure I have gained from others also.

Coming along nicely, always exciting to see how it's shaping up to look when it's done.

OK, work on the shell has been slow to say the least but i had a guy (friend of a friend of a friend etc) come over and give me a quote for the paint / panel. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. now I need to pull my finger out an finish the rust repairs in preparation [:u]

So - saying that the bender at work has been repaired which means the pedal box is back on the agenda

Initial mock up to make sure it all looks right

Then justa case of welding the nuts on the back and tacking it all together - EASY

I need to give it a dust off in the sand blaster at work as it has accumulated some surface rust on the fresh metal which might hinder the final welding. I then need to remove sections of the sides parallel to the cutouts (see black centre line) on the extensions for bias bar clearance.

I have finished the brake pedal mods so I might even do a trial full assembly soon prior to powder coating
