brown back seats looked pretty weak in comparison, but some whooligan came to the rescue with a black Rally Pack rear seat surplus to requirements.

What do you do with a really sick dash pad? Scratch out the Violet Crumble..vacuum..

some Sikaflex flexi sealant... glad wrap...

...so your looking for an after of the crashpad, but I don't have one.It turned out better than I though and will suffice until I either stitch a cover or replace it.
The car will eventually be Spruce Blue color with Rally PAck stripes, but no reason not to spray the door blackouts..

still not boy racer enough...

new blue seatbelts, driving lights still to go on.

Since it now actually goes, time for some brakes.
No fluid at all coming out of any of the lines...so pull the master cylinder apart. It had actually been resleeved, and once both the plungers were cleaned up, and a rebuild kit fitted, all good.
No not really, still no fluid. Do the same with the proportioning valve while your at it...still no joy.
Then check each flexible hose, bingo. Totally blocked/collapsed, to the point where you couldn't get a coat hanger wire though. Cleaned out for now, but will be replaced. A good tool was a $30 brake vacuum kit from ebay. Seriously usefull. Service the rear drums, and front calipers, good to go (or stop).

some replacement taillights, a bit or loom sorting and we have stoplights also.

aftermarket washer kit and that's about it so far. Now it looks like a proper Pinto.

Next will be to set the timing properly, with the plan being to get a covernote and have an assessment done to roadworthy. I know it will need some suspension bushes, possibly rear shocks, heater core, and finish off working out the antipollution gear.
Hopefully on club rego for some Christmas driving, then a strip down and repaint early next year.

I found this thread below going back a few years that was a fitting guide for alloy arches.
The photobucket pics aren't available or just not showing up on my pc.

Anyone know if there's any way of still being able to view them, it looks like it was a really helpful guide.

If I can find a set of alloy or steel tarmac arches, I'd like to fit some to the car, 4 door or not.
Nothing to lose.

sorry, the above should read 'forrest arches'', the ones that go under the swage line.
I would have thought tarmac arches would be the 'shorter' ones, not the other way around.
