Hi all
Just trying to work out how much camber and caster I should be running as a good starting point before getting a steering alignment.
I have the adjustable tops and adjustable lower tca but it's definitely too aggressive a stance at the moment.
Any good tricks for measuring?

Maybe start at the Lotus twincam camber settings as a base line... my mk2 was just a bit more than the twincam specs and was great for fast road

Any good tricks Marty for setting at home with no fancy machinery. I was thining a straight edge and a protractor but thought there should be a better at home method

Digital levels are good for measuring camber. These show digital angle thru' 360 deg.

You might need a straight edge of length to suit rims.
Cheers

You can use a phone app to get a 360deg reading and put the phone against a ruler or straight edge on the rims , if you measure from top to bottom of the tyre it'll be a false reading due to sidewall flex at the bottom of tyre.
My mk2 didn't have any adjustments at all. .. it's how it worked out after lowering it , took it to alignment shop to get toe in corrected, that was it..

Thanks everyone. It's sitting at about 3.5 degrees so needs taking down.
Great tip with the phone level also.
