Just noticed a beaut Mk1 GT500 Cortina on the shannons auction site. (no idea how to post a link) Estimate is 65-75k so well out of my reach but still a gem I'd love to own... Interested to see what it ends up going for...

I'm pretty sure this is the same car that was on the show "Car Torque". It was on of the recent episodes. Pretty interesting car. Fully resto'd by a mechanic who has owned it for quite a few years.

A current affair? it wasn't on a hoon episode doing burnouts in a coles carpark was it, might turn off buyers

Does anybody know what the bidding went to before passed in

Can't find any info on the bidding at the moment, would be interesting, I thought it would have made reserve... Think I found the current affair article, was it the current owner wanting to make contact with any pre 1971 owners of the car?
Heading to the south west of WA in a couple of weeks, will be keeping an eye in paddocks, sheds and properties out for one of these fabled beasts. Theres gotta be one out there with my name on it, haha...
