Awesome. Thankyou. Seems like everything is in order then :)
I can already imagine how good I'll feel getting it going this weekend after 4 years!

It's alive again!!
After a week of over complicating why it wouldn't start (worried about ecu issues, Hall effect sensor etc) I pulled the leads off the distributor cap and the copper had corroded from sitting. New distributor cap and got new leads and plugs and started first time!

Awesome news, you must be stoked, especially after an easy fix like that... Much left to do before it hits the road?
Cheers Drew...

Absolutely! A fair bit to go...kind of anyway. Time till completion will depend on how long I can keep working on it and ignoring the wife 😬
Now that I know the wiring works I'll pull radiator out again and do all the final taping of the loom and engine bay tidy up. That should then complete it up front.
Fix the fuel lines to chassis rails and general things mainly.
New wheels, enjoy for a bit.....then new paint.

The wife sorted me out with a gift. She has acknowledged the second wife it seems....

Computer and all functions are now operational. I had to open up the ecu again to add to additional circuits for the Thermo fan control and tacho output but that was simple.
If anyone is thinking about also using mega squirt and need any help, just let me know.(especially while its fresh in my mind!)

Did you test the ECU on the Jim Stim simulator first?
You will like Megasquirt even more when you tune it with the tuner studio software, well worth the money..

I am looking forward to that :)
Yes I did. I used it during the construction process as per instructions. What caught me out is that because I am using a PWM idle valve, I never put the circuits in for the IAC valve arrangement, but these are the spare out puts I required for the Thermo fan etc.

Bit of a setback today. Was looking under the car finishing off fuel lines and battery cable and I've got a leak from the front of the gearbox. My own stupidity as I didn't replace the front gearbox seal as it looked OK, obviously wasn't. Out comes the engine... Again

Yes the small things always seem to catch you out on these projects. My front struts were in and out 6 times before I was happy. Back from the trimmers this week I hope after almost 2 months.
