The triple webers, dual webers, Holley 350 r all a bit yuck fr normal town work - the orig weber is the best unless you really want t go all out - otherwise, if u could do a proper electronic fuel injection set up ...... Yummy! But a bit of money to be spent...

I read about the 2600 cologne Capri called Turbo May. I had never seen or heard of it. But produced 208bhp at 6000 rpm. It even uses the standard Capri air cleaner.

The Turbo May seemed to outperform the Xpack and was much simpler in design. Would love fuel injection or a reliable Turbo. But the costs make it more sensible to go V8. Know an RTA engineer in Sydney that can still engineer a 302v8 in Sydney which might happen on my 1600 shell.

Hi,
I've just bought a reconditioned Essex V6 to put in my Capri. I know this is an old thread, but my engine comes with a twin manifold and 2 40 DFAV webers. Just wondering how difficult these are to set up?
Cheers Scott

It’ll be a hassle- especially in view of the obvious double up re cyls 2 & 4. Ironically, probably the fastest Capri I have runs a single 38 ml Weber 🤭

Thanks.
Think I'll change it to a single. Now to find a manifold and carby or even efi.
