I bought the Capri approx 5 years ago and was using it now and again on the road, after the bonnet flipped up on me it has been sat in the shed for a while and is not looking or running so good anymore!
 
Over the last month or so we've pulled our old MK 1 Capri out of the barn and started giving her a bit of good old TLC so thought we may as well start up a thread on here.
So far we have moved the car to a better shed for the metal work, cleaner her up and started on the body work/cutting out rust etc so in the middle of panel sourcing.
 
Obviously we are looking at stripping the car completely for new paint work etc as well as getting trim and electricals re done

Thought we'd upload a few pics of the progress so far, moving the capri and stripping it down etc
There's a few pics showing the rust spots we need to sort out too










 

Looks like a fun project, good luck with it.  You'll be loving the first time you take her out on the road completed

That sounds a little familiar, I've been working on mine for about 3 years now lol.
Owned her for about 15 years though
