Well we have been making some progress with the wifes GT sometimes forward & sometimes backward but I am sure you all know where I am coming from.
The Capri has had it's first day in the sun last weekend since being painted & I dont believe the camera does the colour justice but still not bad those of you in Perth will see what I mean when you see it in person, so anyways here's a few more pics.

Saturday no GT badging or stripe.

On Sunday morning with stripe, roos & GT badging Luigi with trolly jack hard at it.

Sunday arvo with Luigi backing up to the camera [:u]& Bill (he painted the the Capri) over the other side looking busy.

i'll make sure i dont park my Capri next to it at the next show. Hope the spot light bracket and piece of chrome trim helped.
When you're ready to roll let us know - we can go for a bit of a cruise with some other boys on the Perth Capri forum

Looking forward to going for a cruise in it Paul, I hope you guys dont mind a few other cars coming along as I know quiet a few people are hangin out for a cruise this summer & yes the bracket will be utilised later just aiming at try to get it licensed next Friday (20/08/10).

Did the brakes last night & exhaust today & going to try & fire up the engine tonight after dinner maybe perhapes if I can find some fuel line & some more motivation.

Well I got the engine to fire up finally today after swapping out the coil as I would only get an occasional spark but the older GT40 that was originaly in the car was put back in & worked a charm so go figure, but I do think the Pertronix Ignitor is good conversion for the Motorcraft disy as it seems to work realy well & now starts very well also well priced @ $109.00au landed from ebay.

The starter motor is not that happy either as it gets stuck on for a little while but then is ok so I think that it will be out again tommorrow for a little look & lube to see if that helps out or perhapes replace [8~2][8~2], would like to know if there is a smaller replacement for this unit.

Also I had to manually get oil pressure up as it would not come up by just cranking with the plugs out but once up seems perfect.

On the up side the engine now runs sweet as a nut with its new camshaft & lifters, steel timing gear, 4bbl mainfold, Holley 465cfm 4bbl, Cosy oil pump, water pump, Pertronix Ignitor & recond cylinder heads to suit unleaded fuel. Will still need to do a proper engine tune once I re-torque the head & do a valve set but it's run ok for now.

Thanks to Luigi for sorting all the electrickery out on the car as we now have lights & a wireless etc & hopefully we will have all the interior in tommorrow if all goes well, so I will try & put up a couple more pictures tommorrow night of the engine bay & interior.
