Ha ha..................

That looks all too familiar. Have just been through mine doing the same thing.

Ended up with me standing on the soldering iron in bare feet! Dont ask, but yes, it hurt like hell.

Do you just spray your braided lines for the black look? I like it and want to de-bling some of the under bonnet.

yeah its always ****e having to fix years worth of bodgey hacked in wiring, im almost back to what looks like a std loom, but still with half of it tucked and modified.

.... i usually wear shoes when working on the car lol.

the braided lines are a nylon black weave. can get it from almost everywhere you can get the stainless braid. its a little less hard wearing. but i have found it really good to use, little more compliant than the stainless weave. and to date touch wood havent had any form of failure. only downside is that it is a little fiddly to install the fittings onto without any parts of the weave catching and hanging out the back of the fitting.

Well another trip done and dusted.

A group of us Vic boys decided that this year we would make the trip back over to SA for the RSOC SA small ford show. 13 cars in total made the trip over. ranging from gen mk1 RS2000 to a stock 2lt auto mk2 to a new focus RS and everything in between.

drove the scenic (coast road) on the way there and the hwy on the return trip.

5am start on the friday, off less than 4 hours sleep

not the start to day 2 that i wanted. missing caliper bolt was allowing the caliper to touch the disc. easy fix if anything out in woop woop opened on time. spent more time waiting for the local parts place to open then it did to fix the problem

more small fords then apostles

quick line up at the big lobster

at the show, the SA guys were kind enough to leave us with an entire area so that we could arrange ourselves how ever we pleased.

two of my favourite cars that made the trip

one of our last stops atop the Ararat hill climb track lookout.

all up the trip was 1820km for me, with a cruise of 3700rpm @110kmph and 3500rpm @100kmph i was averaging 9.3L/100km and with a best of 8.7L/100km. the car ran well and apart from that pesky calliper bolt was faultless.
