thanks matt, it will be a much neater and nicer setup once done then the original setup i made for when it was a daily. also looking forwards to less fuel slosh and having a drain on the tank.

Mr postman dropped off these goodies to work today

excuse the poor photography.

excited to pull apart my dash and start making up my own cluster, just have to find some nice looking LED's for my indicator and high beam lamps.

As far as dash warning lights go im tossing up between the following

or..

little bit more progress with the tank mounting, was able to use a welder for an hour so knocked together the floor bracing box and the tank straps.

still have to go around the edges of the boot flooring with some form of rubber seal to make it all weather tight, but its 90% done now. Still waiting on fuel system parts to arrive before i can finish it off and get it running again.

also because im really bad at doing one thing at a time as we all know..

i started nutting out the dash today also, my initial plan of running 4x 2inch gauges and 2x 3 3/8inch gauges in the cluster was a bit ambitious, with then faces of the gauges just fitting in but leaving zero room around the egdes to the outer cluster and also no room on the rear of the gauges for the spin on rings to fit.

as you can see the spin on rings are a fair amount larger than the gauge bezel

So ive ditched that plan and told myself that was too many gauges to look at anyways  so im going to run the two big gauges in the factory positions and then run two of the smaller gauges side by side in the centre and keep the factory indicator and warning lamps.

did some tinkering and cutting

will make up a backing plate to mount the gauges in and reassemble the cluster and it should look pretty decent, then i will run the other two gauges in the centre console where i already have some cheapy speco units.
