Perhaps they could do a feature article of the 50th Event? There'd be plenty of good examples for them to profile.

Here's the reply that I received from Unique Cars. Pretty disappointing really and the article credits 3 writers not one, I'm at a loss!

That reply looks like the classic "Thanks for your letter. While what you say is interesting, we're not going to change the way we do things so please don't write back with any more criticism."

A good reason not to bother buying the magazine again, not that I have for ages anyway.

funny how we see things differently.
I think he hinted at the error, the writer didn't pick the car photographed.
Not an excuse, but an explanation why/how.

I think there's a subtle olive branch in there too, ie. don't forget to update him regarding the anniversary

I wouldn't take that as a loss Terry at all.

Unique cars has limited cars for sale and few articles worth a read, Better off buying Just Cars Magazine.

It's good they did a feature on Capri, regardless of the facts Unique cars printed and the front cover car, its one owners perception of a Tribute GT car Ford should have made, I like the 1600 GT bonnet stripes with V6 side stripes look, it will encourage more interest in the Capri so the values will rise, I believe Capri values are way under what they should be, and if every seller bumps the prices up the better it will be for us. It's 2017 everything is expensive. Gone are the days of picking up a good car for $10k or less.

Because there is very few Capris on the market Cliff Chambers/Unique cars has no idea.
(What I would like to see our cars range in price)
Parts cars under $10k.
A restored/good 4cyl car, trim, paint etc should be sitting in the $20k & up range.
A V6 GT should be in the $30-$50k
V8 Conversion, pending the degree of modifications/engineers report etc $30-$50k.
RS should be $80k-looking at the chances a UK/Euro buyer (export out of Australia).

I know where you're coming from, but I think the merit of higher prices depends on your perspective. If you are dealing in them, then sure, you want the value to go up over time. But if you're an enthusiast, higher values just makes it more expensive to purchase and insure, makes the car a bigger target for theft, and the risk of driving it on the road seems higher given possible consequences. Just my opinion though.

Agree. Although, it does make the money spent on a resto easier to part with if you know you're likely to get more of it back if you sell.

To be honest, I wouldn't care if they were worth nothing - I'd still love them.
