Relaxing on the deck overlooking my shed when the ol gumtree decides to shed (no pun intended) a branch, crashed onto and mostly through the only bloody suntuff panel on the roof of my shed... Not sure at that stage what if any damage, look for camera, find camera, flat battery, try to delete phone pics as memeory card full, no cable. Open door of shed to discover 6 inch round 'branch' resting againt race car. cant see as the tent is over car from latest camping trip. Remove branch with assistance after taking photos with wife phone, pull back tent to reveal, a smashed windscreen caved in roof and cracked a pillar. Ring insurance co and not covered for vehicle thanks NRMA, but other shed content is covered, so they will cover the $2 blue trash can that got cracked in the incident.
So there you have a very detailed explanation of what exactly is GAY.

I also learnt that lesson the hard way 5-6 years ago, and have since moved all my insurance needs from NRMA.   In my case, the little **** next door liked to play with matches - long story short, my shed was totally gutted by fire.  Gone are all the car parts I'd been replacing and/or rebuilding for my Capri rebuild, including a complete retrimmed interior, new carb and manifold (any alloy parts melted), etc etc.  NRMA were really obstructive with replacing stuff, arguing over every quote, from my push bike to my garden rake.  When they told me that they would not cover any more than $250 worth of car parts (of course that's in the fine print), I had a few different words than gay.

A few years ago my wife backed the car out of the garage - however she didn't know youngest son had the car door open, until it went 'bang' with the garage door/wall. Insurance claim for the car (new rear door) was OK, but tried to get them to pay to get the garage wall repaired (it was just plasterborard - nothing structural) - not interested and suggested I contact my home insurer (which was the same as the car insurer). So despite insuring both car house and contents with the insurer, they wouldn't cover the house. I'm with a new insurer.
