I'm placing an order for a set of 45.5mm oversize inlet valves from Vulcan Engines in the UK. Valves are priced at GBP17.95 each according to their catalogue price. They also offer 44.4mm inlet and 38.0mm Grp1 size valves. Anyone want to jump in on a group purchase?
 
Postage with Royal Mail Tracking is GBP24 for my 4 valves - don't know how much extra more valves would cost in the same shipment but shouldn't be too much more. Would be looking to split postage costs and place an order next week!

valves are triple groove, 214n stainless and 111.0mm long. Don't know the weight but have just flicked Vulcan an e-mail to clarify. I've spoken with the owner of Vulcan Engines and he confirms that the valves can be safely shortened if kept suitably cool - he does the same on heads he builds without any dramas and Vulcan seems to be a very respected engine builder in the UK scene. Other engine builders in the UK have confirmed that they shorten vulcan valves without any dramas too.
 
The valves I'm getting are the VE910 model valves. They have other sizes for the pinto and also other popular ford engines. Check out
