With a hidden "fuel solenoid tap" AND a hidden bonnet release AND Rotor Button removed AND a Club on the wheel along with the Ford Steering Lock, I can't believe a thief would persist after getting past everything and finding the car "runs out of fuel" 1 minute after start up ........ other than with a forklift and trailer, which I'm sure theyd do for a Phase III GTHO.........the way car prices are going, they may even make use of a forklift for a humble Camira !
Seems unreal we have to jump thru hoops to protect our property that we slaved over for HUNDREDS OF HOURS and forked out thousands of dollars. But if the above precautions are used and works, it's all worth it. If it means it adds 5 minutes to each trip, that's nothing to the heartbreak and anguish of a stolen Loved One.
Theres one more security device from the 60's that fell out of favour due to involved labour of brake bleeding and cost of Kit(or 2). This was a hidden key operated Hydraulic Brake Line LOCK which would lock the brakes on as soon as a thief applied the brakes, and kept them on till you unlocked the device. Not bad for old single line cars, but todays modern dual systems would require 2 LOCK kits . The other drawback is "altering the originality" of the car's equipment. Thieves wouldn't hesitate to cut the lines just to get away with the car and hope the handbrake would suffice till they can secrete their spoils.
Ergo its demise.
Shame we cant fit devices to our possessions that instantly terminate these oxygen stealers. (Dreams are for free.)
Guaranteed then that cars would no longer be stolen.
