Hi all

Ecuse my ignorance, but what is the difference between and FVA cylinder head and a BDA head? Oviously gear drive and belt drive are the main points, but would it be possible to use an FVA head as a bda head (by running belt drive etc)?

Thanks in advance

The FVA was based on the pre-crossflow 1500 block, so there may be differences to be aware of if you were to use an FVA head on a 1600 crossflow Kent block (? water and oil flow).

It would be interesting to see one in a road car.

Cheers
Jamie

Excellent, thanks for the reply. Don't think I'll bother with the head. Was half thinking of putting it in race car project. If anyone would like to have a look. Here it is: http://www.ebay.com.au/it...23.l2649#ht_500wt_1288

FV# series engines as mentioned are based on 7.900" deck 120E or 681F "L" blocks.

These engines are not a proposition for anything other than a race car that must use one for many reasons, the main two being cost and gear driven all the way up to the cams.
