Hey guys i have a mk2 Escort and looking to repaint it in Olympic blue which i believe came out in 79-80 as the 1600 sport and Denim pack models.
Just wondering if anyone knows the paint codes for it because i cant find anything that isnt from a Mk1 and not sure if they had the same shade of blue.

Olympic Blue is a genuine Ford colour.
Any auto paint supplier will have the correct paint code.
Always best to purchase a small quantity (say 500ml) of the exact colour you require and paint it onto a panel to make sure it is exactly what you want.
Sometimes paint suppliers have a bad day and get their tinting way off what it should be.

My RS3100 is Olympic blue, I had the colour made right of the formula book (a very OLD formula book...) by CD auto paints Dandenong.  He has a Ford book with the un-named and unusual colours in the front.  This was only about 2 years ago so try him if you strike out close to home.
