Ok time to come to terms with it all...THIS CAR IS A PROJECT

At the moment I am workin on the interior.
So far I have made some trims for the rear of the car complete with 6X9's

I have done one of the door trims and I am pretty pleadsed with the way it came up.

I have some minor rust on the floor pans to sort out. This is all thanks to the buggered windscreen rubber which I will be replacing in a few weeks time.
Passengers side:

Drivers side:

I have also been busy with other parts of the car too Last week I blew a diff, and this week I have pretty much stuffed my gearbox. But, the diff is fixed and the gearbox will be done soon.

Engine wise she is still the 60kw horsepower hero:

BUT...This should be sorted soon enough, with the aid of a new donk The new motor has been finished for the last month or so but time has been hard to come by and have needed the car on the road.
Mods to the new motor:

  • Balanced crank
  • 60 thou overbore
  • New rings & pistons
  • New valves (std size) with hardend valve seats
  • Extensive porting to head
  • Head has been shave to run 10.3:1 compression
  • Heatseaker 'Stage 4' cam
  • Adj cam gear

The current donk puts out around 60kw atw, and has pushed me 400m in 17 sec (I am positive I could get it down to a 16 but the gearbox is in no cond to be trying to crack the 16 mark [:-(]).
So yeah, thats where I am at.

keep ya'll posted

Gave her a clean out today and took it for a leasurly drive out behind Canbera.

During this drive, I did a 0-60mph run and run a 8.22 which is alright, bit of a let down as dads HQ does it in 5.16 [8~2]. I also priced up some new rubbers (Front & rear window, both doors & baily channels) which wil set me back about 380 which is pretty good..
So yeah, thats it for now, i'll finish the other trim tomorrow and start on the floor pans[%]

Catch ya'll

UPDATE
Treated the little bits of rust on the floor pans and painted it Matt black. I ordered some carpet and baily channels also, I just need the front windscreen rubber which is turning out to be a pain to find. I think I will end up just buying one from Burtons.

I have finnally finished the stereo for good, all my boot is done (no more subwoofer in qtr Panels [(#)])

Will have some pics soon
