id bloody use that 1/4 section thats left over weld the front just infront of the quater windows  and make a box type trailer to tow behind the capri when finished
 
like they use to do with the mini van's

There's a pic and write up on Facebook with two Mk2 Capri rear ends welded together to make a camper trailer. Looks good.
