No brainer Spud!....................Wild plum of course!
If not to your taste, my next choice would be Monza Green with Gold stripes, as in my XY GS Fairmont 351

I reckon White as it suits all tastes. What color was it originally though. Ford is dismal regarding records etc. I have a car ford reckon they sold but no one can give me any records on. It's as if the car was never registered in any state. I got conformation that the motor used to be in a Capri that was registered but not in the car with same engine number. I've been through police, road and traffic authorities through 4 states as well as Revs and the new PPSR. All say no information available. Not stolen but no records ever. How does that happen?

My sons father in law who's retired and lives up country finished the last work of art I gave him (pictured below) - don't tell me your jealous - I know u would be, and has been working on this Capri. He tells me it's all ready to happen - colour wise..

in rod we trust
i love a car that is original and matching number car  doesnt matter what make or model as i think anything that is matching numbers is worth 10gs or more than one that isnt

Yes Rod, I fully agree that an extra 10G can be asked for, considering it's a 99% harder to find an all-matching numbers car, and true to original colour,  than not.

Wiggy, you just cant believe a multi million dollar Coy like Ford can't keep full and proper records of every car they sold; I hear this story so often. It's enough to "wanna make ya spit" .........on the positive side, it may be a "special order" kept off the books for one of the Top Staff ? It may be worth sending an email or letter to every Ford Dealer in Aust. I know I would. Imagine your ear-to-ear grin of satisfaction if you hit the jackpot ?!

I know the car was sold in Cheltenham SA and the only info I got was from SA road authorities telling me they know the motor was in a Capri registered in NSW but in not in the Capri with the same chassis number. Nsw know nothing about it. Capri's look great in black Spud if you ask me but highly impractical for a car with no a/c.
