i think i'm really going to get stuck in to the engine bay this week ( i know i keep putting it off) [:I] i have spotted a few blisters of rust which need taking care of, other than that nothing else to report.

Rhys, nothing wrong with being an apprentice mate, i'm pushing to get a plumbing apprenticeship right now. just sat an apptitude test and i find out the result this week.

If you looked through all the SFS 2007 pics you may have noticed someone who did a similar thing to you.

It appears they didn't cut through the O, instead leaving it joined to the rest of the cut-out.

Once the middle of your O is glued in place I guess it won't matter either way.
