Axles going to Escort PCD, then the drums will need to be altered also unless you just go straight for discs as you mentioned.

Have you tried to put the power window kit in? Ive also got one and have been wondering how hard it is to put in, not being very electrical minded. Says you should get a auto elec to put it in but i think i might have a go myself.

Paul, i am getting the drums modded also, works out to be a pretty reasonable price..

zakspeed i'll do it myself but i think i'll wait for a while, way too many other things to worry about atm, i'll put the central locking and alarm back in there too when i get around to it, not much point sitting in a car with power windows if its got no engine [88]

i've been having heaps of "fun" trying to get the flywheel off [:(!] has anyone else found those bolts to be damn tight!? any techniques anyone could recommend to getting it off? more spinach???

and also,

is anyone on the forum here running a lightened flywheel and if so have they found it to be worth it in a fast street application?

Air tools make short work of flywheel bolts.
Lightening the flywheel lowers engine torque,but increases engine velocity.
Get a rev limiter if you do.
One missed flat change and engine will see 8000+ in a blink.

Good luck with the paint.5grand is cheap if he looks after you with proper repairs,so you won't be fixing paint again when the project nears completion.

thankyou maxrs. perhaps i'll steer clear of the lightened flywheel as bottom end is all fresh, yet stock. ecu has rev limiter i believe, i'll probabably have it set for around 6500 for my application, the cams power band tops out there.

good to see the parts flowing in!
you should be happy the flywheel bolts are tight!!!!!!!! [:p]
try using a long breaker bar and a bit of pipe. that should do the trick.
you might aswell do the power windows and central locking at the same time too.

yes its nice to have parts, would be even better to build the bloody thing! looks like i've got most of the expensive stuff out the way, give me some sunny Sundays and beer

hmmm thread has been dorment for a bit, update, been collecting more parts. my injection manifold arrived and i have been cleaning that up, removing casting marks and smoothing it over. i have started polishing it by hand but need a dremel to get into the tight spots, plus i've been lazy so this is as good as it gets for now...

electronic dizzy turned up so i now have all the pieces to the EFI jigsaw puzzle [:o)]

just this morn i fitted an XE lip to the bottom of the mexico spoiler, looks absolutely horn i love it. a bit reluctant to put pics up as shes been a pretty dirty girl lately... i am also deciding weather to run over riders or not.

yeah has a rev limit, i should know, my brother used to set it at 3000-4000 all the time haha..prick lol :)
