I have set the valve clearances on a 2L pinto
 
Sounds like a bloody sewing machine
 
It has a CROW cam but I have no specs - back of cam has 874 122A stamped on it
 
I have set inlet  0.20mm & exhaust 0.25mm - standard escort specs
 
How/what should the valve clearances be set ???
 
 
 
 

If u look on crow cams they might have specs on the cam otherwise id say it would be .008 inlet and .10 exhaust.  My crow cam was the same noisey make sure that u follow the book when setting the tappets there plenty of advice on the net. Good luck
