I would be happy to have a look at it for you and advise you of any rust that is easily visable, but if it is hiding behind bog, it may be a hard call.  Even though it's just around the corner, I have the kids for the next few nights, out the following few and then get the kids back again for the weekend.  I could do it on the weekend but will have to take the kids with me which shouldn't be too much of a problem if they aren't feral.  I see under the for sale section what appears to be another clean mk1 has come up and they would both be within 10kms of each other.

The seller has sent me pic's of the car, it looks pretty good but it would be a gamble without being there.
