Bugger, i was hoping you had sorted that out by now [88] .. Ive seen some setups using the original handbrake modified to suit.. but not knowing a great deal about brakes i would prefer to buy something that i know will work !

the m/c needs to be mounted really well aswell as ive been told that a fair bit of force goes through it when you stand on the brakes really hard ??

Yeah someone with a solution post it up here [%] haha

hmm it does seem to have a locking mechanism.. well one sean

It is quite pricey tho at around 300 aus... but i guess it does come with the m/c

If caught with this sort of handbrake setup and no cable setup at all would this be considered a major defect ??

There is also this sort of thing that can be setup to make it legal, i guess you can use bike cables and weld brackets on to the floor to hold them in near the calipers..

darnoldrs
fromm palmside they have a kit to adapt to the orignal hand brake so i would assume that it would leave you with you locking mech.

sweet i will have a look on the rally design website. Yeah i'm not too worried about it not being legal.. i think its the least of my worries [:I][:u]

phil can i get the link for that one off of you ? as the only thing i can find on there is a conversion kit for 39pounds... which i guess you can adapt to your standard handbrake.

Yeah just saw that thanks darnoldrs, it might be a good idea as i could possibly hide the hydraulic part. and it is designed for an escort unlike the rally design kit which may need further mods to fit..

but im starting to like the idea of a shiny alloy handbrake with a removeable locking mechanism

yeah so it seems, yeah rally design seem to be reasonably priced. They also have a mk2 escort bias pedal box with m/c's and balance bar for 167pounds ! i thought that was pretty cheap !
