There should be a bit more grip hopefully[%] It should be better for pulling out of corners on the circuit...the rear end grip has always been the limiting factor, the front end is great as is[:p] Maybe an 11sec pass as well, that would be the icing on the cake[;^)]

Thanks David,it still amazes me how much room is under there for a std wheel arch I will have to settle for 24.5" tall slicks when I travel that path,26's would require more surgery...which Im not keen on

I came to the same conclusion with the escort. 24.4" (610mm) slicks shouldn't touch anywhere. I was thinking 24.5-10-14 or 15's would be great for the strip. I dont know exactly what sizes are avalible thou.
I had some 235-45-17's (645mm) on but thay scrubbed when i hit any big bumps because they were to tall but i still had a bit of width to play with.

Anything in 24.5" up to 10" wide should be ok for the strip[;^)].The height it the main issue for me as wellThere are alot more tyres to choose from in 26"[}:)]

Very cool Phil
I've gotta say I couldn't believe it when I put the 16x7s on mine!
There's bloody heaps of room[:p]

Have you rolled the rear guards on yours or kept that return edge?

Cheers Rodney,

The rear lips are folded slightly, but will be ground down to about 5mm with the arch mods. The lip is so solid on the rear I had trouble folding it as little as it is...good solid metal in these old girls[;^)]
