This is my 1980 mk2 4dr RS2000. I bought it October last year and have been working on it while on holidays before i start uni. i bought it with no engine, and a fubar'd interior

i dropped a stock 2.0L pinto into the scorty out of a cortina, with a escort sump, some genie extractors and a serviced 32/36, ive fixed up all the door locks and stuff, and painted various parts like wing mirrors around window frames, brake calipers, drums and bumbers, fuel tank, headers ect. ive got it running after having to fix a annoyin water leak in the inlet manifold and pretty much re-do the wiring loom. got new seatbelts all round and got the dash reskinned which looks mint now, fixed the minor surface rust which was in the floor pan and the boot.

shes getting closer i just have to finish relocating battery to boot, fix the water leaks in the body and then whack the interior back in with my mad new racing seats and sound system (which is mostly in and wired up). hopefully have her on the road in couple of months

Yeah thats going to come up a treat. It shames my first car, and well shames the RS I am driving at the moment too.[:I]

Nice work!

Good to see an RS with the pinstripes put back on. I think they look a little bare without them down the sides.

Theres something about a white RS ... it really suits the shape of the car with the RS nose on.
