Hi guys,

Not urgent but thought i'd add here.

What's the best way to remove front/rear screen and rear quarter glass on the 2 door RS2000? Cutting old seal or trim tool and pushing out?

Will be installing new seals..

Cheers

George

I would just cut along the edge of the screen thru the rubber, removing the bit that overhangs the glass. This way the glass can be eased out without putting stress on it. It is very easy to crack a laminated screen.

Thanks Ron!

Best to leave the seats in the car, if not lay on the floor.
Lay on your back with thick socks on, put your feet up against the top corner of the winscreen and SLOWLY push out working along the top of the screen to the opposite corner. Best to do this in a couple of goes as the seal will probably be hard. First go just enough pressure to see the top of the seal flex and to break the bond of rubber to the body. Second go do the same, third go try with a little more pressure. Next go VERY SLOWLY push with just enough pressure to push the top corner of the srceen out enough to see the screen come out slowly. Work evenly along the top of the screen to the opposite corner.
Yes the glass will flex slightly.
Yes there is a small probablility that the sreen will break.
Always wear safety glasses. Best to have an offsider outside to make sure the screen does not end up on the floor.
Trick is to go slow and apply even pressure to minimise any stress on the glass.
The trick is to closely observe the inner lip of the seal (as seen from inside the car) and how it releases from the body window aperture.
