Hi, firstly if anyone reads a similar post to this somewhere else it's because I wrote it out, thought I had posted it and then it disappeared, so I might have made a blunder, not unheard of, and posted it in the wrong forum. Anyway, I need a set of wheel nuts to fit the ROH Contessa wheel onto my Capri. They seem to be a bit of an odd size, where most mag wheel nuts with a shank have a shank OD of 17mm the Contessa's is approx. 16mm, giving it a slightly smaller wall thickness, the nut size is 3/4". Also where the nut makes contact with the wheel there is a tapered mating surface rather than a flat surface with a washer. I've tried ROH, they don't want to know and all other manufacturers I've tried only make a nut with a 17mm shank. If there is anyone out there with a set that they would like to turn into cash please let me know. The only alternative I can see is to have a set of "standard" nuts machined. Would prefer to have the genuine ones though if I could though.

Tapered mating surface means its a tapered wheel nut required and if stock studs should be 7/16 NC20 readily available at most auto shops.

Hi, Have attached a couple of photos of the nut that I'm looking for. I had one kicking around in a tool box, don't know where it came from. You can see the slight taper on the nut, this matches a taper on the wheel. doesn't look as big a taper as on the Supercheap nuts, I'll check them out though. Thanks.

They are usually for mags with washers. Maybe post a pic of the hole in the wheel

I'll get a picture of the wheel tomorrow, they're in a shed at another property. It may not show up well on the photos but there is no flat surface on the nut or the wheel for a washer to fit onto properly.
Is there anyone else out there that runs Contessas that can confirm, or deny this?

Hi Timmo,

I did not use washers with this wheel, they were tapered as per your photo from memory, and I thought they just came from the local wheel guy, for a couple of bucks each

Hi Noono, thanks for heads up on the Nice nuts. I'd had a look at their website but missed the 15.5mm shank nuts amongst all the others. I'm having one sent over to see if it's suitable, if so I'll purchase the full set. Would you believe $5.00 for the nut, $25 for postage!!! That's from Repco who are a Nice retailer.
