I am gong to put my car back to original  air filter.  I have dug up a white one, black one and a red nozzle but I thought they were all black as standard.  My parts all look like original so I am wondering if they were originally colour matched to the car?  I will have to get them powder coated so might as well get them correct. 
 
Also did they have warning stickers or just the embossed warning.

They were silver like the colour ford used to paint its 12 slot and holey wheels.  There is a decal on the front you can get in the XA decal kit from Rare Spares

somebody has been hoarding the air cleaners
 
been after one for a while think i might have found one
 
what do you blokes think the going price of one is .. just want to know so i dont get ripped
the bloke wants 250 which i think is way to much considering i have to re paint and decal it up again

I assume it is original and not been messed with and as I got it some 25+ years ago.
 
Looks like the typical Ford Blue (as are the Rocker Covers) however the lower elbow extension piece is silver, so maybe not, as it doesn't appear to have the Air Cleaner Decal that Spud mentions.

well after messing with the escort and having capri on the back burner i decided to give the capri a bit more attention..
 
so i scored a great deal on the v6 air cleaner  paid 60 bucks and in original silver as well
 
its missing the snorkel and was wondering if anybody has a snorkel laying around they want to sell
