I mounted my drill in a vice and rigged up a bolt through the bush and into the chuck. Instant mini lathe

I dropped a spring into Pedders to see if they can find a fit.

The eyes are smaller... and my press managed to squeeze them in as well .

Problem solved by machining down the correct part number.
The main issue thought about was having too much compression on the material thus possibly affecting the correct amount of movement in the bush.
I would recommend machining the bush to about 1mm oversize.

I did this job yesterday.
The Kings reverse eye are 37mm dia & the bushes from noltec, whiteline & superpro are 40mm.
I would only use the superpro, as they are the only ones to have a crush tube.
Thanks RS2000 for the bench grinder as lathe suggestion.
Cheers

I found that wedging the spring eye slightly open with a big old screwdriver in the gap made the bushes fit easier

i hammered mine in with a soft faced mallet!!! was quite an effort, but somehow they popped when i hit them just in the right spot  although there was only 2mm difference on mine
