Has anyone fitted King Spring leaf springs and found the rear eye to be smaller than a standard leaf?

How wide are the springs? MK1leafs were narrower (50mm) than MK2 (65mm)

MKII - It's the diameter of the eye. the King is smaller.

You can have Kings make the eye's smaller... Lowers the car a bit and less movement in the bush...

Yes the eye is smaller than stock, use stock Nolathane bushes and machine them to suit for a nice tight fit.

I fitted Kings a while ago on my esky mk2 with new urethane bushes, Very tight fit but got them in using a home made press (long bolt and 2 plates) and good rubber grease.
Would have been easier to machine bushes but that option was not open for me.

I did the same.  They are a bugger but it can be done.

Thanks guys,
I'm amazed you managed to press them in. I reckon there is a least 2 or 3 mm difference.
If I was to machine them I would have to get someone to do it for me, not sure where to go for this.

I might take the spring into Pedders and get them to measure it and see if they can source another off the shelf part that will fit.
Cameron at Prospect seems to be pretty helpful so far.

If you dont have access to a lathe you can use a small bench grinder, the bush will fit on the shaft! Spin it up and take small cut at a time until you achieve desired diameter. It cuts easily and you can get perfect fitting bush.

Btw mine were around 6-7 mm too big in diameter.
