My latest escort, 1971 model has no reversing lights.

It's driving me mad. Getting used to reversing with the brakes on so I can almost see...[8~2]

My old escort had capri reverse lights grafted in under the rear lights, where the originals would be.

I am after some pics or ideas for reverse lights. I odnt want the originals, dont like them. Grafting another set of capri ones is a possibility however I am after some ideas/pics on placemnt of a rear spot light. Maybe like the rally cars have??

Not too sure really, pics, ideas suggestions?????

Thanks, Shaun

Something like this period lucas 576 reverse lamp does the trick!

Your car should have wiring for reverse lights integrated into the indicators , if not its easy to do using another brake light holder(two filament). hope this helps

Thanks marty,

I'll have a dig around with the mutimeter.

I had been thinking of doing something with the indicators/brakelights similar to the old Holdens.

How is the lamp attached? Looks like what i am after.

Hi Shaun
the lamp is attached into the back panel by its mount(rear of bowl not base), wires go thru the mounting thread so aren't exposed and it can swivel to align like a std spotty!
Not cheap at around 50squids + post but look the bizniss
