Been through a bit of a song and dance with the wheel studs.. In not one of my cleverest moves, I ordered new studs straight out of the book.. Even though I had a sample stud and set of calipers handy. [:I]

So they arrived and whaddya know, some previous owner has already bored the holes out by at least a mm, lol. So I ended up going through a box of different studs, and found one thats a bit longer, but same thread pitch and diameter, plus the larger press fit bit, which is a good tight fit.

Ahh well, with all the escort bits around here, I am sure I will get some use out of those stock studs somewhere.

And now I have longer wheel studs, so I can play with some spacers.. mebbe lol.

Ok, totally revamping the headlights again this weekend. New relays all round, and some nice chunky cable to feed them.

New glass for all 4 lights. For the outer pair I have a Narva 146mm round H4 conversion kit. Comes with nice new lenz bodies, 55/100 H4's and rubber boots. the 100w high beams should be a nice improvement to start with. And I look forward to trying out a few different lighting options with the H4 socket.

For the inner high beam only units, I picked up a pair of new 150w aircraft landing lights. I'm hoping to go into business as a mobile tanning salon.

I have a set of small pilot light type spotties, which I will consider down low on the front.. But I really don't think I will need them lol.

Photo's tomorrow when I get the nosecone off.

And yes, I know I'm going to need a bigger alternator lol. But I have always loved spotties and bulk light for late night mountain twisty runs. Its about time I capitalised on the stock mounting points the RS nose offers.
